Anxiety affects the mind and body in ways that can feel overwhelming — racing thoughts, tightness in the chest, restlessness, irritability, difficulty concentrating, or constant “what if” thinking. At Still Waters Psychiatry, we help individuals understand the root of their anxiety and build the skills needed to regain calm, confidence, and emotional balance.
Anxiety doesn’t show up the same way for everyone. That’s why our approach is built around your experience — your stressors, your patterns, your lifestyle, and your goals.
We blend evidence-based practices with real-life strategies to help you feel grounded and in control again.
Excessive worry or overthinking
Restlessness, tension, or agitation
Racing mind or inability to “shut off”
Panic attacks or sudden waves of fear
Physical symptoms (tight chest, fast heartbeat, nausea)
Avoidance of certain tasks or situations
Trouble focusing or staying present
Feeling overwhelmed by simple decisions
Anxiety is not “all in your head” — it is a legitimate, treatable condition.

Your journey begins with a thorough assessment to understand triggers, symptoms, medical history, and emotional patterns.
Clarity is essential — it allows us to build a treatment plan that truly fits your needs.
Depending on your symptoms and goals, your plan may include:
Cognitive and behavioral coping techniques

We give you practical tools you can use at home, work, or in moments of high stress.
